DAY 3 – CORNING GLASS CENTER / HERSEY, PA "CHOCOLATE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD"/ LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA: With fond Memories we’ll leave Niagara Falls behind this morning. It’s easy to understand why so many people return again and again to see this unforgettable sight. Today’s travels take us back into Pennsylvania. Just before leaving the empire state of New York, we will stop in Corning, New York at the Corning Glass Center for shopping and information about the manufacturing of the Corning Cookware. Next we will stop at Hershey, PA where we will visit Chocolate World. This planned community took its name from Milton S. Hershey, who built a chocolate factory in 1903, in what was once a cornfield. Be sure to look at the street lights-shaped like chocolate candy kisses. After lunch we will catch up to the mighty Susquehanna River, which we’ll follow nearly to our destination of Lancaster, situated in the heart of the Amish Country. No visit to the Dutch Country would be complete without an Amish style meal. Be sure to have a hearty appetite, as you will be our guest tonight for a delicious Amish style meal (included) in the heart of the Dutch Country. |

DAY 4 – AMISH COUNTRYSIDE TOUR / “JOSEPH”: This morning we begin our day with sight-seeing in the Amish Country. You’ll be surrounded by fertile fields and early American charm as we tour the farm lands, stopping for a visit at one of the Amish farms. We'll travel through the rolling countryside and over sparkling, spring fed streams as we wonder back to a time when life was simpler and at a slower pace. You'll pass one room schoolhouses, meet the Amish as they go about their daily life in horse and buggy. After our tour of the farmlands, we'll visit the Farmers Market, if open. After which, we will see the drama, "JOSEPH" at the Sight & Sound Theater. |
|
