TOUR #1019 - SOUTHWEST / GRAND CANYON / KINGS CANYON / SAN FRANCISCO / HOLLYWOOD / LOS ANGELES, CA / SAN DIEGO ZOO:
May 15 - May 29, 2010
DAY 1 –  LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: We board our Luxury Motorcoach this morning and head west. After lunch we continue traveling west crossing The Mississippi into the State of Arkansas where accommodations await us for the night in the capital city of Little Rock.
DAY 2 –  COWBOY HALL OF FAME / OKLAHOMA CITY: This morning we continue traveling west, stopping in Ft. Smith to see Judge Isaac Parker's courtroom, where 13,500 cases were docketed and some 79 felons hanged during Judge Parker's 21 years on the Bench. After lunch we enter the State of OklahomaThe Sooner State” arriving in Oklahoma City, where we will visit the famous Cowboy Hall of Fame, before checking into our motel for the night.
DAY 3 – NEW MEXICO / OLD TOWN ALBUQUERQUE: Boarding our motorcoach this morning we continue west across the panhandle of Texas. We have lunch in the Beautiful City of Amarillo Texas. After lunch we enter the State of New Mexico, know as the “Land of Enchantment” because of its beauty and rich history, and on to Albuquerque for overnight. Before checking into our hotel, we will visit the Old Town of Albuquerque.
DAY 4 –  PAINTED DESERT / PETRIFIED FOREST / FLAGSTAFF, AZ: Boarding our coach this morning, continuing on west and leaving the State of New Mexico, we enter the State of Arizona, where we will see the Painted Desert and the Petrified Forest, having lunch in the Painted Desert and continuing on to MonSunset Crater National Monument, before checking into our hotel at Flagstaff, the hub of Scenic Northern Arizona, is often called the "City of Seven Wonders".
DAY 5 - GRAND CANYON / LAS VEGAS: Today we view one of God's greatest creations, the magnificent Grand Canyon. Then we will travel on to Williams, Arizona for lunch. After lunch we continue on our way to the "City of Wonders", Las Vegas. You will be free to take in the sights and sounds of this City in the Desert. Accommodations await us tonight in Las Vegas.
DAY 6 –  CALIFORNIA / SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY: After breakfast this morning we’re California bound. We will travel through Bakersfield and the beautiful San Joaquin Valley. This afternoon you'll enjoy the sights as we make our way on to Fresno, California, the geographic center of the state and heart of the San Joaquin Valley.
DAY 7 –  SEQUOIA NATIONAL FOREST / SAN FRANCISCO: Today you will marvel upon the Sequoia Forest. You will truly see the work of God, towering overhead and the sheer rock cliffs present beauty that words can never describe. This place will forever be a pleasant memory as we bid farewell to the mountains this afternoon. We will head for the city by the bay, San Francisco,  for the next two nights.
DAY 8 –  FISHERMAN’S WARF / GOLDEN GATE/ CABLE CARS: Today we will have an exciting tour of the bay Area and Fisherman’s Warf. You will enjoy sights such as the Golden Gate Park and much, much more. San Francisco often called “the city on the hill” truly fits, for no matter which way you look you seem to be looking "up a hill." You'll have time to shop and ride the famous Cable Cars.  We spend another night here in San Francisco.
DAY 9 –  PACIFIC COAST / HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA: Leaving San Francisco this morning, we will travel south through Salinas and Paso Robles, California. After lunch we continue traveling south through the beautiful Salinas Valley where more than 60% of the vegetables are grown in the U.S.A. This afternoon we will tour Hollywood and visit the Chinese Theater area and the famous Walkway of the Stars. Traveling through the Los Angeles area, we will stop for a visit at Dr. Schuller's Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, CA.
DAY 10 – SAN DIEGO ZOO / YUMA, AZ: This morning we travel the coastal highway into San Diego, CA. Stopping for a visit at the visitor’s center for an opportunity to wet your feet in the waters of the Pacific. Then we are off to the wonderful San Diego Zoo. This afternoon we'll make our way into the area of Casa Grande, AZ.
DAY 11 – TOMBSTONE, ARIZONA:  Today finds us on our way to the historic town of Tombstone, Arizona.  The town too tough to die which was made famous by the great shootout at the  O.K. Corral.  As we travel, we see breath-taking valleys and sand dunes, where many, many desert movies were made.
DAY 12 –  EL PASO, TEXAS / CARLSBAD CAVERNS: Our destination today takes us through the beautiful city of El Paso, on the banks of the Rio Grande River. Leaving El Paso, we continue on to Carlsbad National Park, New Mexico. We will see a lot of space and "The Great Wonders of God’s Creation“, Carlsbad Caverns. You can take a tour of the caverns, which will take around one hour to complete. You can have lunch (optional) 750 feet underground. The ones not desiring to take the tour can have lunch in the restaurant in the visitor center. Sights you will see today are indescribable! This afternoon we will travel across some the biggest oil fields in New Mexico.
DAY 13 – OLD STOCKYARDS FT. WORTH / DALLAS, TX: We continue traveling across the Lone Star state of Texas and Abilene. We'll stop for lunch in Ft. Worth, where we’ll visit the historic Old Stockyards of Ft. Worth where the Chisholm Trial would end and thousands of heads of cattle and sheep were shipped out. Last year this was the highlight of the tour for many people.  This afternoon we will stop in Dallas, TX at the memorial site where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. You may wish to visit the Book Depository Museum.  Overnight in the Dallas area.
DAY 14 –  MISSISSIPPI RIVER / TUSCALOOSA, AL: This morning we leave the Lonestar State of Texas .  After lunch we travel back across  the mighty Mississippi River into the MMagnolia State of Mississippi  traveling through Meridian, Mississippi that was the birthplace of Jimmie Rodgers, once known as the singing brakeman, as we make our way into Tuscaloosa, AL for our last night on the road.
 DAY 15 - HOMEWARD BOUND:  Today finds us on our way home, as we travel back through Chattanooga, TN.  Do you think you can ever describe or ever forget the sights you have seen, the things you have done and the experiences you have had?  Share with others your favorite times of this unforgettable two-week experience and the wonderful fellowhip together.  THANKS AGAIN FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF SERVING YOU.
